The Design And Realization Of Load-controller For Marine Power Station

Marine energy-saving technology is one of the most important ways to reduce the cost of energy and improve the economic benefits. Especially as the oil crisis becomes more and more serious, marine energy-saving technology turn into one meaningful subject to study. As a result, some generators that can save energy are invented, for example, shaft-generator and exhaust turbine generator.In this study, MCU (STC89C52RC) is utilized as the core device for load-controller. This load-controller is designed for the marine power station that includes shaft-generator (or exhaust turbine generator) and normal diesel generator. According to the change of the total active load of marine electrical power system, the load-controller distribute the active load to generators in a corresponding way, make the shaft-generator (or exhaust turbine generator) bear as much active load as possible, in order to decrease the coast of energy.The load-controller in this thesis will have the following function:1) Select the method of distributing active load, virtual difference method or main regulate generator method, according to the change of the total marine electrical load;2) Start or disconnect generators automatically;3) Upper computer display the parameters of marine power station (such as voltage, current, frequency and so on) in real time, and control the running of generators (such as start/stop, close/open main switch, accelerate/decelerate).The load-controller was debugged based on the platform of the automatic power station in the marine power station laboratory of Dalian Maritime University. The load-controller could run stably and reliably in the laboratory environment, accomplish all the scheduled tasks, and meet the function requirements.
