The aim for research of Chinese rural residential electrical fire is to analysis the main reasons of electrical fires in rural areas and test the most important factor, and to give strategies for electrical fire in rural areas, and to provide electrical safety protection at the most degree for the majority rural residents in rural areas, ensuring the safety of rural residents. This paper gives an analysis of formation mechanism of electrical heating. Based on the survey of several provinces'rural areas, this paper shows the status of rural electrical fire. Though tests, some researches about the main cause of electrical fire have been made.Electrical wires, power distribution systems, home appliances and so on are discussed in this paper to give a detailed analysis of the causes of electrical fires. Heat emission of conductor and electrical appliance basically involves these heat conduction, convection and radiation basic forms. From two aspects of the conductor's long, short-term heating to discuss the mechanism of electrical heating and analyse the hazards of electrical heating involves the insulating property of current-carrying conductor, the conductor's mechanical strength and the property of conductor's contact part. External temperatures of 2.5 square millimeters PVC copper wires'layer through 10 or 20 Ampere current are caculated based on long-term heating theory, and simulated by Ansoft Maxwell.Based on the survey of a total of 94 rural residents in several provinces from electrical lines, distribution systems, household appliances and electrical safety dialog with rural residents and other aspects, access to important data of field status about electrical fire in rural areas, a detailed analysis of the main reasons of rural electrical fire have been given. On this basis, a mathematical model of wire connector is established and the temperature of wire connector is measured to determine the wire connector's fitting curve of temperature through different currents.According to the fire statistics and the main problems of survey data, analysis of electrical lines fault is the main reason caused electrical fires. From comparison the insulation failure time of electrical lines under fire laying in and laying out, a demonstration that electrical lines laying in is more fire-resistant than laying out can be made. To measure key indicators of electrical lines-insulating resistance, this paper presents the measurement of the electrical line's insulation resistance in the fire. Compared with existing wiring, this wiring has the advantages of wiring simply and implement easily.Though the above analysis and discussion, field research and experimental research, proposals are provided for our rural residential electrical fire to ensure rual residents use electricity safely.
