Spiral bevel gear, as the basic element in the mechanical movement, can transmit the movement between the crossed axes and intersecting axes, bearing the features of low noise,higher burden capapility and big overlapping coefficient. So spiral bevel gear are widely used in various fields such as aviation, aerospace, automotive, mining machinery, machine tools, instruments, construction machinery and other industrial sectors as well. In the field of gear transmission, spiral bevel gear belongs to those which is most complicated in design and manufacture,and technology of it is most difficult to master. Because the ideal gear profile of spiral bevel gear is spherical involute,it is unable to unfold on planar, people changed to use the engineering approximate method and pursuit the simplicity of cutter in design and manufacture. The conical surface which is formed from rotating blade,act as a incisor impeller cut surface, is used to envelope into the milling tooth development. The shape of spiral bevel gear produced according to this method is not spherical involute, generated error against the principle of manufacturing, caused wrong mesh the two tooth surface which lead to some problems such as adverse contact area, noise- increasing, strength-decreasingThis thesis adopts a new method of spiral bevel gear-making------- tracing line method, for the design of spiral bevel gear. This new producing method is quite different from the traditional methods. As for the theory, according to the taking shape principle of spherical involute, we use Q plane and the base cone in orer to fullfil a relative pure rolling, by maintaining a certain speed ratio:, the blade of Q plane will be develop into spherical involute which is tooth profile surface of spiral bevel gear. This kind of spiral bevel gear characterizes carrying capability and low noise, good spherical involute meshing.This thesis studing as follow:(1)Described the development of domestic and international status about spiral bevel gear, as well as the research background and significance.(2)Depth analysis of the meshing principle of the bevel gear, tracing line method and its characteristic shape.The spiral bevel gear of using tracing line method does not occur error,greatly improving all aspects of spiral bevel gear performance.(3)Making the round billet design of skew bevel involute gears and hypoid gear, detailed introduction the geometrical parameters when take the tracing line method to process spiral bevel gear, using catia to create spherical involute tooth profile shape of the three-dimensional model and introduce the modeling method.(4)Complete the calculation of stiffness and strength for spiral bevel gear, obtained by calculating spiral bevel gears can replace spiral bevel gear.Using the finite element software ANSYS analyze tooth root bending stress and tooth surface contact stress of spiral bevel gears,using ishikawa formula to calculate the stiffness of spiral bevel gears and using matlab program to map out the size of the stiffness curve of gear, and comprehensive stiffness curve.(5) Through mastery the changes of contact area in spiral bevel gear, and then complete the contact area of the design and control for spiral bevel gear...
