Green building is the results of leading the sustainable development concept into the construction sector, and the inevitable trend that building industry develops. The thought of Green building originated the two world energy crises in the 1970s. As we all know, construction is one of the most significant events that human beings does to the natural resources and the environment. More than half of the raw materials, human beings obtained from nature, are used to build various types of buildings and ancillary facilities, and these buildings consume a lot of energy in the construction and use of the process, at the same time causing serious environmental pollution and ecological damage of the natural resources such as air, water and land. Architecture as the most important product of human civilization, the consumption of resources and damage of environment should not be underestimated. In the face of the status quo that global energy consumption and environmental pollution is worsening, the request for the construction of sustainable green development is more and more urgent. Green building came into being in this case, and the leading residential construction industry is also a request towards the green and sustainable direction. In the 21st century, sustainable development strategies are widely implemented on a global scale, together with the pursuit of residents for green, healthy, comfortable living space, green house has already become the popular trend that dwelling house estate develops.Evaluation of green house is the key issues for the development of green residence. The research on the green building evaluation system starts from the beginning of 1990's.After that the world's first Green Building Rating System BREEAM was published in the UK, and this method has played a very good study guide for the development of green house evaluation system. Evaluation of the green house in our country starts later than the developed countries. The green residential development and the theoretical research is still in the fledgling stage. With the concept of the green house being still relatively vague, the popularity and social acceptance of green housing should be further improved. Then the article carries on the detailed elaboration to the mature green residence evaluation system of developed countries, constituting comparative analysis from the goals of evaluation, targets system composition and evaluation results three areas, exploring the nature of them based on analyzing the similarities and differences in the basis of these various systems, laying the foundation for the following comprehensive comparison of the evaluation systems. On the other hand, through the description and comparative analysis of the existing standards for green residential evaluation, the defects of these current evaluation systems in our country would be found out,paving the way for the following comprehensive comparative analysis of the evaluation systems.
