Base on the practical projects, this thesis researched the accuracy and robustness of rolling zone tracking system, process macro-tracking design and optimizing of rolling zone, gap control of finishing mill, and the platform design of the corresponding systems on plate production line. Main contents as follows.1. The micro-tracking system adopted calculation and combined the modification of real data. To realize the error alarm automatically for the hot metal detector(HMD), the automatic evaluation of the accuracy of HMD signals, the automatic identification of single or multi-plate triggering, and the automatic deletion of error tracking plates, the tracking system respectively set soft alarm vavles, synchronization windows, length calculation and automatic deletion mechanism for queues; Tracking modules applying working rolls'speed and high precise forward slip model tracked the plate head and trail in mill; Analyzed the lateral direction tracking and control of plate in the side guide.2. To decrease the equipment dependence, by reasonable division of macro-tracking regions, reasonable layout of tracking queues, designing and collection of data and signals, rigorous judgment of gap and rollling force, and application of date triggering mechanism, macro-tracking under manual and automatic rolllig mode is effective whatever single stand or double stands. It could stably match with some control rolling models.3. Programed in base automation system for collection of plate head data, to reduce the thickniss difference of product head. The author found that the rebound of screwdown gear and the delay of hydraulic syetem lead to the increase of gap. One compensation method for this immersion is effectual.4. When control system measured automatically the stiffness of 2800mm plate finishing mill, it found that the stiffness is nonlinear, and there is about 30t stiffness difference between driving end and non-driving end. That gave the real stiffness curve to the control systems; To increase the control capability for mill, some advantages and disadvantages of gap setting methods between full hydraulic and electro-hydraulic union system must be distinguished, and improved the synchronous control strategies when hydraulic system adjusts the gap under load or not.5. Introduced the common equipments which were used on the plate production line to help for equipment selecting. In addition, introduced the hardwares and softwares used in micro-tracking systems, the base automatization and the macro-tracking systems.
