Air pollution in our country has become the most serious, regional and complex air pollution from the last century coal-burning pollution. The removal of pollutants from air is one of the important environmental protection tasks. Microfiberous structured porous composite is a new structure and new material in the intensification technology of chemical process, it can adjust adsorbent contact efficiency with pollutants, so as to improve the filter adsorption efficiency.First, the microfiberous structured filter was prepared by wet forming process with ACF fiber commercially available as raw materials. In order to study adsorption advantage of the microfiberous structured filter, the filter filtration performance test system was built. By comparing removal effect of filters from different molding methods, the microfiberous structured filter shows better adsorption efficiency and adsorption capacity. This kind of filter can be applied to gas masks, air purifier, industrial waste gas purification, automobile exhaust and so on.Second, CO and benzene removal filter was prepared by carrying CO catalyst on microfiberous structured filter. CO and benzene removal efficiency of the filters was tested by self-built test system. The results show that the prepared structured composite filter can achieve collaborative and efficient removal of benzene and CO.Finally, ACFs were prepared by CO2 activation, and the specific surface area, pore size distribution and nitrogen adsorption properties were measured by BET method. The surface morphology and diameter of ACF were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The functional groups of ACF were analyzed by infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results showed that with improvement of the degree of activation, the yield of ACF decreased, the fiber diameter decreased, too. The total specific surface area of ACF prepared under the optimum conditions reached 860 m2/g, total pore volume was 0.361 m3/g, the pore size was 0.62 nm; ACF mainly consisted of benzene, ketone, ether and pyridine groups. The experimental results showed that the activated carbon fibers prepared by this method had good adsorption effect and could be used for the adsorption of organic waste gas.
