This article proposes regional outburst prevention technique with progressive protection of gob-side entry retaining based on sectional gas pre-drainage with through beds drilling of single current coal bed.The purpose is to extend drainage time and improve the drainage rate,meanwhile, can protect the next section coal roadway with long drainage drillings and improve the excavation speed of coal roadways.This article bases on the coalbed gas storage and flow theory, analyses influencing factors for gas drainage from coal gas pressure, the change rule of coalbed permeability, drilling parameters and drainage negative pressure,expounds the relevant contact between stability of the gob-side entry retaining and ground pressure with position of hole sealing, exposits stress distribution and failure characteristic in different condition nearby coal seam, puts forward the necessity of 2nd hole sealing after gob-side entry retaining.Using FLUENT soft on gas drainage computer simulation, discussed different parameters on the effect of gas pressure field distribution. Finally, verified the regional drainage effect with progressive protection of gob-side entry retaining gas drainage through the field test of JiuLiShan mines.
