China has rich mineral resources and it's important to promote the sustainable supply of mineral resources by carrying out appraise of mineral resources vigorously. Geographic Information System (GIS)provides a powerful tool for the development of mineral resources evaluation,And Support Vector Machine (Support Vector Machine, SVM) is a new pattern recognition method based on statistical learning theory in recent year,which shows unique advantages in solving small sample, nonlinear and high dimensional pattern recognition problem. At present, SVM has been widely used for trend analysis, pattern recognition and remote sensing image classification.This article applied SVM technology and GIS technology to the evaluation of mineral resources, whose data come from the ongoing Science and Technology Department of Sichuan Province, international cooperation and exchange programs SAPE company based on the significance of the sichuan danba region Cu-Ni-Pt ethnic economic evaluation of mineral resources and related policy system, The purpose is to establish an appropriate evaluation model of resources Danba areas of Cu-Ni-Pt group evaluation of mineral resources, For enterprises and local economic development strategy to provide a reference for the formulation.The Cu-Ni-Pt mineral deposit in Danba of Sichuan Province belongs to bedrock deposit. It includes several deposits such as Yangliuping, Daqiangyan, Hongqiling and so on. The petrology of magmatic Cu-Ni-Pt deposit has researched deeply and the information is quite plentifulIn this paper, we predict and evaluate the Cu-Ni-Pt group resources of Yangliuping prediction through the GIS technology and support vector machine method. establish Geological spatial database , select evaluation indicators , process the grid layers, classify information by method of SVM, and carry out a comprehensive evaluation obtain the favorable metallogenetic zones and the delineation of prospective areas. According the result of article, it's reasonable that the method of evaluation of mineral resources , the method can provide reference for the delineation of mineral deposits and forecast evaluation of mineral resources.
