This dissertation is supposed to investigate the inclusion and self-assembly properties of p-sulfonatothiacalix[4]arene through the synthesis,characterization and single crystal structure.Complexes of p-Sulfonatothiacalix[4]arene(TCAS),lanthanide ions(Ln=La,Nd,Sm,Gd) and pyridine N-oxide(PNO) have been synthesized.They were characterized by IR,UV,elemental analysis,TG, DSC.The crystal structures of two complexes of TCAS,PNO with La and Nd were determined by X-ray diffraction method.The results show that both of the two single crystals are belongs to the triclinic system,P(?) space group,comprised of[Ln2(H2TCAS)(PNO)(MeOH) (H2O)6]·MeOH·6H2O(Ln=La,Nd),cell parameters are TCAS-PNO-La: a=11.732(2)(?),b=15.007(3)(?),c=15.262(3)(?),a=78.05(3)°,β=80.77(3)°,γ=83.89(3)°,V=2587.3(9)(?)3,Z=2;TCAS-PNO-Nd:a=11.719(2)(?), b=14.941(3)(?),c=15.157(3)(?),a=78.03(3)°,β=80.84(3)°,γ=83.95(3)°, V=2555.9(9)(?)3,Z=2. Complexes of TCAS,N,N-dimethyl formamide(DMF) and rare earth ions(RE=La,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd) have been synthesized.They were characterized by IR,UV,elemental analysis,TG,DSC.The crystal structure of the complex of TCAS,DMF with Y was determined by X-ray diffraction method.The result shows that the complex belongs to the monoclinic system,space group P21/c,comprised of [Na(H2O)2Y(H2O)6(DMF)(H4TCAS)]·9H2O,with a=16.703(3)(?), b=17.819(4)(?),c=17.357(4)(?),β=106.23(3)°,Z=4,V=4960.0(17)(?)3.
