The Assessment Of Ecosystem Services And Its Ecological Compensation For Wetland

At present, there are not many researches studying wetland ecological compensation at both home and abroad. The researches are mainly restricted to ecological compensation of regional wetland, and what is even less is studying it from the perspective of ecological construction. The paper views the first phase of the riparian wetland restoring project in Taihu holiday resort as the study object. Based on a systematic analysis of the primary ecological service function of the study area and the application of appropriate evaluative methods, this paper carries out a scientific and systematic evaluation. The paper also elicits the water purification value accounting for the biggest proportion of the total value, standing at 39.32 percent, regulating flood accounting for the second biggest proportion of the total value, standing at 31.12 percent, which reveals the remarkable ecological efficiency of wetland in the first phase project, especially the remarkable effects in water source land, laying a good foundation in guaranteeing citizens'drinking in Suzhou.The evaluation of ecosystem service function value furnishes some reference value and scientific evidence. Meanwhile, it can also offer reference to quantitive evaluation of ecological construction benefit. The paper has carried out quantitive evaluation on ecological economic benefit of the constructed first phase from the angles of ecosystem service function value and ecological construction cost.What's more, aiming at wetland ecological compensation, which is a new and troublesome problem, the paper suggests that compensation mechanism should be established first regardless of compensation funds, and then the compensation scope can be enlarged gradually, and at last a consummating compensation system will be constructed. Based on field research, the author visits some concerned units, taking into the feasibility and operation of ecological compensation into consideration, the paper makes some corresponding discuss, including the subject and object of ecological compensation, compensation standard, and compensation approach. Therefore, the paper brings forward the basic frame of ecological compensation system of the wetland in Taihu holiday resort, and provides some research experience on ecological compensation for this kind of wetland.
