The multi-component reactions(MCRs) offer an efficient and convenient entry into constructing diversity and complex molecule. Moreover,MCRs closely approach the concept of ideal synthesis, due to their inherent merits such as high flexibility, selectivity, convergency, atom efficiency, high exploratory power and simple experimental procedures. As a consequence,MCRs have naturally become a rapidly evolving field of research and have attracted the attention of both academic and industrial scientists. Our efforts in this challenging area are well described in this thesis. The thesis reports a four-component reaction involving aryl diazoacetate, titanium(Ⅳ) isopropoxide,2-aminophenol and aldehyde to constructα-alkoxyl-β-amino acid derivatives.Mechanistically,Rh(Ⅱ) catalyst is responsible for the decomposition of aryl diazoacetates and then the imine generated in situ traps the oxonium ylide. Results of reaction reveal that electron rich aldehydes are more favorable to the yield and diastereoselectivity. And diazoacetates bearing an electronwithawing group on the phenyl ring have a better yield and diastereoselectivity for the four-component reaction. An improved method for the synthesis of 2,2'-diamino-1,1'-binaphthyl by hydrothermal reaction from 2-naphthol and hydrazine hydrate is reported. The raw product is purified by a new method using ethyl acetate/petroleum ether(1:3) as solvents. The purification procedure is simplified compared with the literature methods, and the yield is about 58%...
