Conventional walk-beam pumping unit is widely used in oil pumping by mechanical means, and it holds the balance in oil pumping by mechanical means; however, its efficiency is very low and it consumes much energy, on the aspect of consuming electric power , it is only junior to water infusion which takes the first place in oil field, conventional walk-beam pumping unit has become one of the equipments that consume most electric. Outside low permeability oil field in western of Daqing has "three lows" feature, well depth is deep and ground conditions are poor. Therefore, swab parameters adaptation of beam pumping unit is difficult to match, the system is inefficient, loading utilization ratio is low and has high energy consumption. Adopt conventional mode of construction is high investment and poor efficiency. In view of the issues, we need to identify a new method of pumping unit optimal design. How to optimize pumping unit's swabbing coefficients, save energy and increase production become one of the issues most concerned in oilfield. T he mathematical model of nondimensional fluid productivity index and productivity factor about low permeability oil field was established in this paper. According to variability feature of nondimensional fluid productivity index and productivity factor about low permeability oil field, maximum polished rod load, maximum torque and installed power of low permeability oil field were determined. Early installed loading of pumping unit in low permeability oil field, torque utilization ratio upper limit and installed power lower limit were researched. Based on the measured data of field, this paper used regression analysis to establish relationship between swabbing parameters and various influence factors, and established mathematical model of system efficiency and swabbing parameters. Took that as the basis to optimize swabbing parameters. Chose pumping unit type by the economic evaluation to pumping unit.
