Taking air and the activated carbon power system as the studying objects, this research measures the dual-cutting circumfluent cyclone's separation efficiency, the pressure drop and the static pressure distribution in the rotating vortex field with the air speed in the entrance arranging from 16 to 28m/s. The last findings show that, in a separation area, the static pressure, is radically the lowest at the axle center, increases with the increase of radius, maximizes at the entrance, and then drop to a certain stable circumstance. According to the return correlation to the experimental data by simplex method, a correlation equation of the static pressure in a separation area is :The incidence coefficient r=0.976, the relatively average deviation Sr=10.95%.The tentative data of industrial application also indicates that the new circumfluent cyclone's separation efficiency is higher than that of the B cyclone .The cutting particle size d50 used in the experiment test should be in about 1.5μm. The larger the diameter is, the smaller change the d50 particle will be. The cutting particle in the industrial application is generally below 3.5μm; the new circumfluent cyclone's pressure drop is low and only about 1/2 to 1/3 the size of others; moreover, the scale-up effect is not remarkable.Meanwhile, in order to obtain the authentic data of dual-cutting industrial enlargement and application, we also have conducted a preliminary study on the velocity distribution in the rotating vortex field. The result shows that in the former literatures, it is not suitable to apply the non-viscous fluid's supposition to the velocity distribution research in the rotating vortex field, and based on the result of the experimental study, the assumption of Stokes flow and the revision with the Ossen, we obtain the tangential velocity expression of gas phase in the rotating vortex field of circumfluent cyclone as follows:Through this research project, a good effect is obtained in the process of collecting the activated carbon's dust by use of the vinyl acetate synthesis in the application of the industrial enlargement of the single -cutting circumfluent cyclone. The experimental study based on the dual-cutting circumfluent cyclone indicates that in a batch processing situation, it has higher separation efficiency, lower pressure drop and better structural characteristics than the single -cutting circumfluent cyclone, and also provides a good platform for the further industrial application promotion.
