In industry production process, the energy expending of petroleum chemistry industry have biggest proportion, and the rectification process in it hold the primacy. The rectification is a very complex process; it can be optimized with many methods. Now there have many successful examples.In the vinyl acetate producing process of some PVA factory in Hunan province, the production's consistency in the bottom of the first tower was not enough, and the production of the top had nimiety vinyl acetate. This brought on resource waste. So this factory decided that optimized the tower, changed some unconscionable factors, to gain more benefit.This thesis treated the technique process as an object, set up a mathematics model of the NO.1 tower, and used MATLAB compute this model. The calculation of mathematics model adopted New-Raphson method corrected by Broyden-Bennet. This method put the "inner correcting" viewpoint to calculate tri-diagonally matrix and the characteristic of this method was the parameter of contrary matrix of Jacobin matrix could be correct by the value of aim function, so this method could reduce times of new creating Jacobin matrix effectively.After calculating the method, we could gain temperature, steam and liquid consistence and energy consume of condensator.We analyzed the influential factors with the calculating results, and then optimized the NO.1 tower by using the original data. After optimizing, the separate grade of the top and bottom board increased respectively 16.5 percent and 1.4 percent, and the consistence of VAc reduce 15 percent, the energy consume of condensator reduced 4.3 percent. We obtained the target.Finally we analyzed the energy consume of whole technics, and then brought forward a reformative project to economize energy. We used heat pump technique to optimize the technics, and analyzed the energy consume again. The energy consume of new technics economized energy 17 percent than the old one, it achieved the target.
