The feasibility of a new sulfur-resistant shift catalyst of Ni-W is discussed, a new method is employed, which is combined the merits of the mix-knead method and the impregnated method. Sulfur-resistant shift catalyst of NiO-WO3-K2O/Al2O3-TiO2 prepared not only has simple technology to save the cost but also has better intensity and bigger pore diameter.In course of researching the activity of this new catalyst, compared with the catalyst of CoMo in the same condition by atmosphere micro-reactor, it indicated that the transform frequency of the carbon monoxide in high temperature is in a position to reach 90 percents, and better than the activity of the CoMo.Then it discussed the interereaction of each component of the NiW-catalyst by the Temperature-Programmed-Sulfurization(TPS) and the Temperature-Programmed-Reduction(TPR), and then find out the factors which effect the shift activity of the catalyst, at the same time, it used the modern analyzed apparatus such as Scan electron microscope (SEM),Mercury injection apparatus to analyzed the microstructure of the catalyst, and observed the grain morphology,pore space and the decentralization which the active elements are at the carrier.Comparing the NiW-catalyst with the CoMo's , the result indicated that NiW-catalyst has more advantages not only in cost but also in the structure and activity of catalyst, it optimized to use in industry.
