Solventless epoxy coatings is a green coating without volatile organiccompound (VOC). Compared with foreign technology, the national study onsolventless epoxy coatings is late, to this day, the industrial products of solventlessepoxy long-term corrosion resistance coatings which the protective term is longerthan 10 years is very lack. A lot of factors impact the long-term corrosion resistance ofcoatings, but the most important is the adhesion.Studied aluminates, titanates, zircon-aluminates and organosilanes as adhesionpromoters, the result shew that organosilanes was better to enhance adhesion betweencoating and steel substrate, especial amido-silane. Studied the hydrolysable propertyof different organosilanes and the flexibility& impact resistance of coatings appendedorganosilanes, ensured A16 silane as adhesion promoters of solventless epoxycoatings. Studied the added method of A16 silane, as a better result that A16 silanewas added epoxy coatings directly.Analyzed the mechanism of A16 silane promoting adhesion byReflection-Absorption Infrared Spectrum (RA-IR) and epoxy resin surface tensioncoefficient, analysis indicated that A16 silane in epoxy coatings was able to move tothe interface of substrate and linked with it by chemical bond, at the same time, thereducing of surface tension coefficient of epoxy resin added A16 silane increased thewettability of epoxy coatings to steel substrate, the two factors promoted coatingadhesion with substrate.Researched the wet adhesion of coating added A16 silane byReflection-Absorption Infrared Spectrum (RA-IR), internal stress, density ofcross-linding,water absorption rate and pigment& filler, the result indicated thatinternal stress and water absouption rate was the crucial factors of coating adhesionkeeping for long.In theend, made formulation of different pigment by orthogonal experiment,obtained better formulation of solventless epoxy coatings, undercutting salt fogcorrosion: 2500h, with rusting corrosion no diffusion and 1 mm blister at scratching.
