Vegetation construction is very important in Mousu sandland ecological construction, choosing the right sand-fixing species and the right afforestation models is crucial to the success of vegetation construction. However, moisture is the most important factor that can decide whether artificial vegetation is stable or not. Based on the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum theory, it selected H.laeve forest, A.ordosica forest, S.psammophila forest and C.korshinsii forest in Ningxia Yanchi County as experimental subjects, in view of moisture balance, it compared total moisture loss and moisture resource of artificial vegetation forests in terms of moisture dynamics in soil-plant-atmosphere continuum, then it evaluated the moisture stability of H.laeve forests, A.ordosica forests, S.psammophila forests and C.korshinsii forests. The results are as follows:H.laeve forest: moisture consumption is more than growing season rainfall, natural rainfall cannot meet the need of its moisture consumption, as a result, H.laeve forest it selected would make the sand drier and would cause descending of underground water level, analyzing from the perspective of moisture balance, it is unstable.S.psammophila forest: moisture consumption is more than growing season rainfall, natural rainfall cannot meet the need of its moisture consumption, as a result, S.psammophila it selected would make the sand drier and would cause descending of underground water level, analyzing from the perspective of moisture balance, it is unstableA.ordosica forest: moisture consumption is less than growing season rainfall, analyzing from the perspective of moisture balance, it is stable.C.korshinsii forest: moisture consumption is more than growing season rainfall, natural rainfall cannot meet the need of its moisture consumption, as a result, C.korshinsii it selected would make the sand drier and would cause descending of underground water level, analyzing from the perspective of moisture balance, it is unstable...
