This paper is a study of viscoelastic surfactant alkyl–hydroxyl-sulfobetaines synthesis,of influence of synthesis conditions with different carbon-chain length,and determined optimizing conditions by experiment: of dodecyl-hydroxy-sulfobetains:temperature 90℃,solvent is water,reaction time is four hours;optimal synthesis conditions of hexadecyl-hydroxy-sulfobetains: temperature 85℃,solvent is volume ratio of isopropanol to water 1/1,reaction time is seven hours,;optimal synthesis conditions of octadecyl-hydroxy-sulfobetains:temperature 90℃,solvent is volume ratio of isopropanol to water 2/1, reaction time is seven hours.In recent years,a special performance of surfactant solutions: viscoelastic studies and applications are being paid widespread attention to by basic research workers and applied research workers.Under certain conditions,in a certain surfactant system formed in aqueous solution flexible long stick micellar.Long stick micelle formed the reversible three-dimensional space network structure and has shown exceptional rheological properties: viscoelastic and high viscosity under low shear (up 106mPa?s),shear dilution (a thickening),thixotropy(negative thixotropy).Viscoelastic surfactant solutions because of its unique rheological properties has a tempting prospect in the chemical industry,paints,minerals floatation,mine sluy (such as coal slurry) pipeline transport,washing,resistance reduction in pipeline fluid transport,and food industry.Similarly,the performance has potential applications prospect in the oil production many fields and tache.Exceptional rheological properties of alkyl–hydroxyl-sulfobetaines solution was studied,and contrasted the flow curve of anionic surfactants solution and cationic surfactants solution to alkyl–hydroxyl-sulfobetaines.It was approved that alkyl–hydroxyl-sulfobetaines accorded with rheological characteristics of viscoelastic surfactant.Influence on viscosity and interfacial tension of ASP ternary system was studied when the alkyl-hydroxyl-sulfobetaines was added.It was approved that alkyl–hydroxyl-sulfobetaines can augment viscosity of ASP ternary system over time, and form a stable system with polymer,reduce hydrolysis; and approved alkyl–hydroxyl-sulfobetaines can ignificantly reduce the interfacial tension of ASP ternary system,the lowest interfacial tension can reach 10-4mN/m.The results confirmed that the alkyl–hydroxyl-sulfobetaines had the characteristic of viscoelastic surfactant, excellent characteristic of resisiting shear,resisiting alkaline and resisting saline,and good prospects of application in the oilfield.
