Polymer flooding has been widely applied in oil field, and the economic benefit is good for now. The displacement mechanism of polymerflooding is very clear after decades of lab experiments and application on oil field. And at the same time, numerical simulation of polymer flooding has been more and more mature.A lot of studies and applications have done in good oil layer in Daqing Oilfield, and now, polymer flooding is the main technical method to maintain the high oil production and stable oil production. But with the most main oil layers flooded by polymer, Classâ…¡,even Classâ…¢oil layer start to draw people's attention. The reserve of Classâ…¡reservoir in North Saertu oilfield is about 2.8 million tons, so polymer flooding in Classâ…¡reservoir will be an important method to maintain the oil production. Because of its characters, the method of layer combination is different from the main layers'. There must be polymer and water flooding working together in Classâ…¡reservoir,so the relationship of polymer flooding and water flooding together, effect evaluation of polymer flooding and tertiary infill drilling, and the modification method when there are polymer flooding and water flooding at the same time are very different, and the questions above will directly effect the oil production. On the basis of the two flooding methods working together, it is necessary to the sustainable development of the oil field to study the effective way to combine the two methods to obtain the best recovery ratio.In macroscopic aspect, polymer solution can improve the mobility ratio, enlarge the sweep volume and in microscopic aspect, the visco-elasticity can improve the sweep efficiency. According to those two aspects, mathematic model has been set up to describe the rheology and various phy-chemical actions when polymer solution passes the porous media. Two dimensions, two phases polymer flooding numerical model has been set up by finite difference method. Different polymer flooding and water flooding units and water injection intensions of tertiary infill drilling have been studied, by the dynamic index, polymer flooding and water flooding working together is benefit to the development of Classâ…¡reservoir.
