With the enhancement of environmental protection consciousness in mind, people attach more and more importance to air pollution result from automobile exhaust emission. Chinese government not only requires improving the performance of automotive engine, but also gradually heightening the quality standard of motor gasoline and motor diesel oil. As the Chinese capital and the host city for the 2008 Olympic Games, Beijing has higher requirement for the quality of gasoline and diesel oil in recent years with faster upgrading and substituting speed.BYPC is the major supplier of motor gasoline and diesel oil for Beijing city. The process structure of refinery lays core on heavy oil catalyze cracking due to Sinopec historical strategy. The most proportion in the final products is catalyzed gasoline and diesel oil. Many performance indexes, compare with the new standards, have become the limited factors to the quality of current and future oil products. Meanwhile, the ethylene capacity of BYPC has increased rapidly over the past decade. The ethylene capacity has broken through 800,000tons/year through twice large-scale capacity expansion. Under the condition of process capacity of crude oil with limited increment and the highly increased demand for raw material, there is a biggish contradiction existing between the supply of ethylene raw material and the production of gasoline/diesel oil. Moreover, the constant upgrading and substitution on the oil quality further aggravate the contradiction.In the paper, research has been carried out to mitigate the contradiction between the ethylene raw material and the production of oil products by optimizing the process flow. It also analyses the current situation of BYPC combining with the advanced technology. The result shows that the contradiction can be solved by making use of current plants and technical resource to optimize and tune the raw material allocation under the precondition of main process flow with little modification, i.e. by using naphtha absorption & separation process with the assistant of aromatics extraction process to solve the contradiction...
