Heat and mass transfer in porous media can be seen in nature and some processes of industry. These processes relate to water conservancy, geology, chemical engineering and environment. With the rapid development of nuclear industry and electronic industry, the mixed convective heat transfer has been the focus of researchers.A numerical analysis is conducted for combined heat and mass transfer by natural convection in the vertical annulus filled with saturated porous medium with a non-uniform generation and the forced convection in the vertical annulus. The results show: 1) In the natural convection. The effects of heat generation coefficient M and buoyancy ratio N on the distribution of flow, temperature, concentration fields, local Nusselt numbers and Sherwood numbers are investigated. M increased, in the temperature field, the Isotherms lines divided into T>1 andT>1.At the same time, in the concentration field, Iso-concentration lines near the axis offset the horizontal lines. With the buoyancy ratio N decrease from 1.5 to–1.5, the reverse circulations in the center of the velocity field expanded, as well outside Nusselt number and the Sherwood number increase with M.2) In the forced convection. Because of the influence of Non-uniform Heat Source, velocity field near the wall expanded, and with the increase of M, the distribution of developed velocity offset from forced flow (Gr=0), at the same time...
