Components are complex in coke-plant wastewater, in which contains high concentration of ammonia nitrogen and a number of toxic and refractory organic compounds, and great changes usually happens to water quality and water flow. It is usually not able to meet the discharge standards by employing the conventional biological process, which will bring severe harm to our environment and human body. With physical or chemical process, which could meet the demand of drainage by environmental protection, but the cost was very expensive. So it is imperative to develop a kind of coke-plant wastewater treatment, which should be economic and technique feasible. In anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic-aerobic biological process, it has been demonstrated that using anaerobic acidification as pretreatment and de-nitrification-carbonization-nitrification as secondary biological treatment to treat coke-plant wastewater was a cost effective technology .In this research, the aerobic stages consist of two biological contact...
