Iron electroplating is one of the method of restoring parts, it has some advantage such as low cost, simple techniques, board using scale and so on, these make it have more society benefit and economic benefit in restoring. Based on a new process of low temperature iron electroplating without pre-etching, We use power supply of asymmetry AC-DC electroplating made by ourselves to carry out iron electroplating and composite electroplating.Iron electroplating without pre-etching is relative iron electroplating with pre-etching, its essence is to activate the surface of part using asymmetry AC-DC electroplating, before experiments. It can remove the grease and rust and activate the surface of part and make matrix and coatings combine more hard. By a series of experiments in choosing parameters, the influence factors on surface, Metallographs structure, thickness and hardness of electroplating layer, such as thickness, pH indicator of electroplating solution and time. Based on a number of process experiments, the process parameters of iron electroplating without pre-etching were optimized. The hard mechanism and the conjoint intension and micro-cracks of the electroplating layers were analyzed.By a series of experiments in choosing parameters, the influence factors on the composite layer, such as contend of SiC grain in solution, whisk time, interval time of whisking. We study the parameters that influence on surface morphologies, composition, microstructure, thickness, hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
