Corn Gluten Meal (CGM) is the by-product of the process of cornstarch. In China, CGM is abundant and cheap and lots of them are discharged wastefully, not only wasting greatly usable grain resources, but also bringing about certain degree pollution to the environment. In this paper, The Separation and functions of oligopeptides with enzymolysis of Corn Gluten Meal were studied in order to produce the product with full nutrition, easy absorption and high added value. The key to prepare biologic and functional products from CGM not only needs to guarantee good enzymolysis effectiveness, but also nicer function and easy separation. Consequently, enzymolysis products, namely oligopeptides, were studied on condition that the degree of hydrolysis of CGM was up to 30% in this paper. The results were as follows:I. The best separation condition of oligopeptides was determined: SephadexTM G-25; sample density 3%; velocity of flow 2.3~2.6mL/min; amount of sample 2~4 mL.II. Oligopeptides were separated by SephadexTMG-25 and antioxidative activity of CGM was examined. The research indicated the inhibition rate was up to 43.9% when its concentration was 1mg/mL as same as that of 5u/mL SOD.III. Result of intestinal absorption experiment in vitro indicated that amount of absorbed oligopeptides was 47.25ug on the five centimeters ileum in an hour and the mean absorption rate was up to 26.45%. There was a higher absorption rate without enzyme.IV. The result of the ACE repressive activities of oligopeptides from CGM indicated that IC50 was less than 1.33%.V. The preparation of the oligopeptides of hydrolyzing 100kg the CGM was studied through using enzyme technology. The research showed the amount of dry Oligopeptides was 53kg and obtained rate was up to 71%.This research may contribute to promote CGM deep processing and industrialization process as well as the development of agricultural economy.
