Caralazyte is a common decolor reagent and sorbent in petroleum cracking. It brings large numbers of acid wastewater in the course of production. The wastewater contain a mass of suspend solid(SS). The SS is so small that it's hard to get rid of them. If we let them flow into the river or lake, the water will be polluted. We find a viable measure to improve it. Four organic flocculants and three organic flocculants are selected for treating wastewater. The effect of PH value, flocculant dosage, sedimentation time and stiring time on SS and COD removed rate are investigated. The results show that, when pH is 6.8, the capability of FeCl3 on SS removed is better than the others, but as a whole SS removed rate is low, only about 26%. When pH changes, the capability of Al2(SO4)3 on SS removed is better than others. In addition, the optimum flocculation condition is confirmed. The best operation conditions are that, pH is 8.0, sedimentation time is 2 h and flocculant dosage is 0. 02 mg/L. The best operation conditions of COD removed rate are that, pH is 8.0, sedimentation time is 2 h, stiring...
