Bearing is widely used in precision mechanism, and the bearing balls are one of its major components. The precise bearing balls play the important role in precision engineering. The sphericity and the surface roughness of bearing balls significantly influence performance and reliability of the bearing. Because of the limitation of sphere generation mechanism, low finishing efficiency and high cost, the traditional lapping technique of precise bearing balls can hardly meet the requirements of modern science and technology. For this reason, many experts bring forward kinds of lapping methods. Magnetic fluid lapping and spin angle control lapping are two typical technologies of those methods, but they haven't been adopted in production line for the limitation of batch productivity.In this thesis, the kinematics analysis of the lapping method with eccentric three rotation plates and eccentric v-grooves lapping method and so on are carried out. The lapping trajectory is obtained with the method of coordinate transformation and the evaluation method of the lapping uniformity of balls is established. To obtain the high efficiency and high precision lapping, a new precision bearing ball lapping method is put forward. Structure of the new method is simple. It is prone to realize the application of solid abrasive lapping technology, so that it may radically enhance efficiency. This method can also improve the lapping uniformity of balls.Simulation analysis based on lapping uniform of the devices mentioned above is carried out, and the lapping uniform of new method with traditional lapping methods is compared. The new lapping method is emulated based on lapping uniformity, so as to optimize parameters of the device.At last, for further quantificationally analyzing lapping uniform, the estimation methods of grid division on precision bearing ball are put forward。Some methods of grid division are offered. These methods are compared through simulation analysis to find out the method, which can more exactly appraise actual lapping uniformity.All programs for the thesis are compiled in MATLAB 6.5.
