New technology on pretreatment of iron scale before agglomeration comes fromthe need of engineering practice. With the development of technology, the modernhigh speed steel rolling technics has been used instead of low speed steel rollingtechnics.A large deal of iron scales were produced by the modern steel rolling technics ofhigh speed every day. Iron scale can be recycled as material mixed in sinter. This canincrease the component of iron. However, 2-5% oil is mixed in iron scale. Usually, oiladheres to machines during the produce of sinter. It not only influences the machineworking, but also causes fire because of high temperature. It results in the damage ofmachines and large economic loss. Therefore, iron scale must be washed before used.The aim of the thesis is to resolve the problem with room temperature, high efficiencyand low cost.The main contents of thesis include the development of degreaser, thedevelopment of cleanout methods and technics processes, the design of cleanoutmachine, and the technology of waste liquid disposal. The main innovations are asfollows:(1) The cleanout mechanism of QY97-J degreaser is the replacement mechanisminstead of the emulsification mechanism of the literatures.(2) The suspending and mixing machine is designed. The problem which thespecific gravity of iron scale is large and iron scale is easy for sedimentation isovercomed.(3) The methods of acid neutralization and absorbing oil by Terylene are used todeal with waste liquid. Two grade standard of China is reached.(4) The cleaning technics has features of simple, easy operation, little investment,quick benefits, and wide actual applications.The new technology on pretreatment of iron scale before agglomeration hasadvantages of little investment, taking effect rapidly, retrenching energy, not pollutingsurroundings, operating safely. The oil cleaning of scales meet the need of production.The waste liquid reaches two grade standard of China.
