Aqueous polyurethane dispersions have been extensively studied and applied in many fields. Many papers have reported that structure and properties of aqueous polyurethane dispersion were influenced by chemical structure and stoichiometric ratio of hard and soft segments. Up to now, the synthesis and study of aqueous polyurethane dyes have been rarely reported in the previous literatures.Synthesis and Research of a Novel Aqueous Polyurethane-Disperse Blue-G(PU-DBG)A novel polymeric dye of aqueous Polyurethane-Disperse Blue-G was synthesized by our modified acetone of process, which was characterized by the analysis of FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, DSC, TEM, TGA and WAXD:1. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR) was used to identify the structure of the polymeric dye, indicating an obvious carbonyl stretching absorption in Disperse Blue-G. which confirmed that disperse blue-G had been bonded to the pre-polyurethane.2. UV-Vis spectroscopy showed three same absorption at 555nm, 600 nm and 650nm for the chloroform solution of disperse blue-Gand PU-DBG,But there was another peak only appeared at 510nm of polymer spectrum. In addition, UV-Vis spectra of the aqueous dispersion PU-DBG also showed a new absorption at 760nm.3. DSC analysis showed that the PU-DBG has a single glass transition temperature of 55℃ .4. TEM made clear that the PU-DBG has a unique shape resembling the leaves of bamboo.5. TGA measurement indicated a two-stage degradation for the PU-DBG.6. WAXD spectra implied the film of PU-DB14 was amorphous for A wide peak (2 6 ^19° ) .
