Vitamin E (VE) was widely used in medicine, cosmetics and food industry asnutritional supplement or antioxidant. Deodorizer distillate from soybean oil, rapeseedoil or rice oil is abundant in natural VE. But currently, VE products in China are stillmainly synthetical. Therefore, it is significant that we exploit natural VE.Natural VE was extracted from the soybean oil deodorizer distillate with a smallscaled molecular distillation apparatus in this thesis. And optimum processingcondition was acquired by the orthogonal test (with L9 (33) orthogonal test table) bythe VKL70 molecular distillation apparatus. Test result showed that optimumprocessing condition was: preheated temperature at 90℃, evaporated temperature at140℃, system pressure at 15 Pa and rotary speed of the wiped-film rotor at 300revolutions per minute. As one of the parameters of chromatographic fingerprint, similarity had beenappointed to be an important criterion in the chromatographic fingerprint standard bythe National Committee for Pharmacopoeia. It is a simple and promising methodadopting similarity of chromatographic fingerprint (SCF) to control quality orquantify adulteration in natural vegetable oils.It is the first time that SCF is applied to quality controlling and adulterationdistinguishing of natural vegetable oils in this paper. Weighted Vectorial AngleMethod (WVAM) was brought forward to calculate similarity between fingerprints ofadulterated oil and unadulterated oil. Accordingly, the adulterated quantity can befigured out. It was also advanced that similarity of composition of fatty acid beapproximate to similarity of actual chromatographic fingerprint. This approximationdispenses with fussy peak matching so that it becomes simple and fast to judgewhether the oil is adulterated, if it is true, then what and how much of inferior oil ismixed in. In a word, WVAM is worth popularizing in quantifying adulteration ofvegetable oils.
