In this paper , the samples were obtained and studied by investigation and assessment on heavy metals pollution of aquatic plants and its relevant water , soils and sediments of the Poyang lake in abundant water season and low water season of 2003 and 2004 . The content of Cu , Zn , Pb , Cd and their speciation in the samples were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry ( AAS ) and graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry ( GFAAS ) , then dates were analyzed by Statistical Package for the Social Sciences ( SPSS ) . The results were as follows :1. The organic matter-sulfide bound and residum speciation are the main content of Cu , Zn , Pb , else , the soluble and exchangeable speciation ( bioavailable speciation ) are the main content of Cd , so the ecological hazard of Cd is stronger .2. From assessment by index of geoaccumulation and index of ecological risk , Cu is the most important pollution in Poyang lake .3. The content distributing of Cu , Zn , Cd put up a tide that the content depressed from Raohe river to Hukou , and the content of Cu , Zn , Cd in water and soil take on correlate and partial correlate , so we can deduce that the fountain of Cu , Zn , Cd in Poyang lake is sameness and these pollution roots in Dexing copper mine . Pb equally distributes in Poyang lake .4. The diffuse attenuation of Cu , Zn , Cd on level square can be presented by exponential function : c = b0ebx.5. The heavy metal content in plants directly correlate with the heavy metal content of soluble and exchangeable speciation in the exist environment of plants .6. The heavy metal enrichment ability of plants for the soluble and exchangeable speciation puts up a tide of: Zn > Cu > Cd > Pb .7. It is more scientific to study plants enrichment by the soluble and exchangeable speciation of heavy metal.
