Viscoelasticity of fluid produced by polymer-driving well, has caused pumping efficiency inefficient,eccentric wear of pumping rod and shortened the period of pump-cheking. The flow of the fluid produced means of polymer-driving in a well can be seen as unsteady flow in eccentric annuli with the inner cylinder reciprocating axially. Precautionary measures of eccentric wear of pumping rod can be obtained by the calculation of fluid field. By using the sub-while-fluid Maxwell constitutive model and common-conversion Maxwell constitutive model individually in this paper, the control equation of steady flow of viscoelastic fluid in the eccentric annulus with the inner cylinder moving axially is established, the velocity field,stress field of steady flow of viscoelastic fluid in the eccentric annulus with the inner cylinder moving axially is calculated; and the radial force on the pumping rod of viscoelastic fluid is obtained; influence of eccentric distance etc. to velocity distribution,flow rate and radial force is analyzed, and the major precautionary measures of eccentric wear of pumping rod is discussed.
