Polypropylene with high stereo regularity has been applied in extensive fields. The development of the new type catalyst for propylene polymerization is very critical for the preparation of polypropylene and the other polyolefin materials. And in the development of the polypropylene catalyst, the electron donor has played a very important role. The succinate ester chemical compound was new-type Ziegler-Natta catalysis system researched and developed in the last few years as the catalysis system of giving the electron donor. The catalysis system using succinate ester as internal electron donor will be get high active, and the polypropylene will be get high stereo regularity. However, very few reports were found on the study of the preparation, especially in china. And the discussions on the mechanism of the electronic donors in the supported catalysts haven't yet come to a decisive conclusion. In this paper, we prepared a new type of succinate electron donor —— diethyl 2,3—di—i—propylsuccinate. In the experiment, the effect of material proportion, reaction temperature, reaction time and solvent dosage were investigated, and the optimal conditions were founded.: anhydrous CuCl2 /Zn powder (molar ratio) : 1:1 Zn powder/ ethyl 2-bromoisovalerate (molar ratio) : 2:1 temperature of the reaction : 64~68℃ the reaction time : 2 hours. The catalyst used diethyl 2,3—di—i—propylsuccinate as internal donor particles were also synthesized. The behaviors of propylene polymerization under atmospheric pressure and the influence of electron donors on the activity and the isotacticity of the catalyst were investigated. The obtained results showed that the succinate electron donor was favorable to prepare highly effective catalystd and high stereo regularity polypropylene. Especially to say that we found the isotacticity of the catalyst reached 96 % even without external donor.
