With the rapid progress of science and technology, our country's printing industry has achieved unprecedented development. The urgent demand of improving printing speed and presswork quality has become more and more important. Based on this requirement, a directed presswork quality detection and control system has been proposed in this paper. In this paper, theoretical research, module development in this system and experimental analysis are given on the basis of analyzing printing image characteristic for cooperating with the modernization of printing and printing quality detection systems.The main groundwork of this paper and research conclusions are as follows:1. Through the research and summary of the image information processing theory and method, presswork quality testing analyzing flow is analyzed in the whole. Module dividing and systematic structural design is carried out according to the systematic function demand.2. Image orientation method is studied in theory; feature point orientation and template matched method are provided. Experimental results show that the two methods can have satisfying advantages, which can improve image orientation accuracy and shorten image orientation time.3. Difference image denoise approach is researched and analyzed in this paper. Comparative experimental results prove that Gausses template can reduce image information loss to minimal extend. Dual-linear interpolation method is adopted to rotate image, which can improve image processing speed greatly at some tolerance error;4.Based on Visual C++6 software development platform, image preprocessing module, image orientation module and image analysis module are designed at last. Main functions such as translation, rotation, smooth filter, noise reduction and accurate orientation for collected image are implemented in our system and experimental results turn out it is a simple and effective system for printing image detection and control.
