In this dissertation, hydrogenation of a-furoic acid over supported catalysts was investigated in fixed bed micro-reactor.It was found that pallidium can be used as the catalyst for hydrogenation of α-furoic acid.Influence factors,such as noble metal, support kind, non-noble metal auxiliary and Pd loading to the catalytic performance of hydrogenation were studied. The results showed Rh /Al2O3 and Pd /Al2O3 catalysts have optimal properties and Pd /Al2O3 is better than Rh /Al2O3 for its low price.Roasted the alumina in high temperature can be used as carrier for the better performence than that of active carbon and silica because of the little bore diameter and huge surface area. Pallidium can be absorbed by alumina strongly. The97.87% conversion ratio of furoic acid and 100% selectivity ratio of tetrohydrofuroic acid were obtained on the catalyst of 1 wt% Pd /Al2O3 under the reaction conditions: T =120℃, P =1.0MPa, Liquid feed rate=5ml/h, H2/ furoic acid =50(mol/mol).Adding Fe, Co and Ni can improve the activity of low Pd loading catalyst obviously. A conversion of furoic acid 97.35% and selectivity to tetrohydrofuroic acid 97.14% were obtained on the catalyst of 0.2wt%Pd-3wt%Fe/Al2O3 at reaction conditions: T=140℃, P=2.0MPa, Liquid feed rate=5ml/h, H2/ furoic acid =50(mol/mol).The 96.82% conversion and selectivity to tetrohydrofuroic acid 100% were obtained on the catalyst of 0.5wt%Pd-0.5wt%Ni/Al2O3 at reaction conditions: T=200℃, P=2.5 Mpa, H2/ furoic acid =50, Liquid feed rate=8ml/h when water is used as a solvent.The performance of the catalyst is steady.The H2-TPR and H2-TPD show that Ni can restrain the absorption of H2 and enhance the absorption of a-furoic acid,Ni improve the performance of the catalyst.In this thesis a new technological process has been developed,which can be operated continuously. Its reaction conditions moderate,and the conversion,selectivity and stability are all quite good.There is no pollution using the water as solvent. So it has good prospect of application.
