The computer simulation technology is playing an increasinglyimportant role along with the rapid development in computer software andhardware. It has become a designing and analyzing tool, which bothengineers and non-engineers cannot be short of, because the computersimulation technology has advantages of economic, reliability and briefexperiment cycle, etc. It offers a scientific foundation and analytical meansto optimize the design of single screw extruders and control processingparameters for attaining ideal products through the simulation. Fully based on Windows, the author has developed a simulation systemof a single screw extrusion process with the help of some software such asvisual C++6.0, OpenGL, and Access 97 through the analysis ofmathematical model of extruding process. This system can approximatelysimulate the extruding process and calculate mass flow rate of an extruder,pressure and temperature distribution along the axis of screw, melt fluxingrate and energy dissipation. The work of this article is mainly focused on the following sections: III北京化工大学硕士学位论文1)Detailed expatiated physical model of three sections and seven zones in extruding process of a single-screw extruder, and mathematical model of each zone and solutions to them. This part is the core and basis of the simulation system, directly influenced the precision and the reliability of simulation results.2)Presented animation technology of the simulation system. It includes animation technology and animation process. Through animation technology, we can see the changing process of materiel in extruding process intuitionisticly, setting up a user-friendly interface.3)Analyzed the result of simulation. It validates the reliability of the simulation system and is an indispensability part of the simulation system. For the first time, the simulation system dynamically shows theplastication of the single screw extruder.
