In this paper, the 4', 4"-dihydroxy-4-carboxytriphenyl-methane and polyaromatic ether ketone with side 4-carboxy benzyl group were synthesized. The structures of the two compounds were characterized. The viscosity were determined and the part of polymer property was tested, too. The solubility of the two substances was studied with changing the content of 4', 4"-dihydroxy-4-carboxytriphenylmethane monomeric structure unit ratio in random copolymer. The result showed that the solubility of the copolymer in solvent trends to decrease when the ratio of 4',4" -dihydroxy-4-carboxy--triphenylmethane monomer structure unit to the bisphenol-A was over 30:70. The fluorescent polymer with radiant groups on the skeleton was synthesized by reaction of unfluorescent 4',4"-dihydroxy-4-carboxytriphenyl-methane and 4',4"-difluoro-benzophenone. The reaction belongs to nucleophilic substitutive polycondensation. The polyaryl ether ketone containning 4', 4"-dihydroxy-4-carboxytriphenyl- methane structural unit have fluorescence.
