The method of purifying hydrogen peroxide by using an ion exchange resin is popular in modern industry. Whereas it is imperfect and very important in studying and practical application, it was studied fundamentally in the paper. The details in this work are summarized as follows.(1) A set of experimental apparatus was assembled. Decomposition of hydrogen peroxide in accompany with resins was studied. Quantity of gas was calculated and used as decomposition rate of hydrogen peroxide. How the resins accelerated the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide was compared. The structures of resins before and after oxidation were analyzed by infrared spectrum. In terms of the above-mentioned two factors, resins were primarily selected.(2) D072 cation exchange resin was selected by comparing the exchange capacity and exchange rate of the resins in terms of main cations in hydrogen peroxide as well as their physical and chemical performances. The grain size classification, water content and total exchange capacity of D072 was mensurated.(3) D072 was used in the studies on static exchange and dynamic exchange. Exchange equilibrium curves of single cation under different temperatures were plotted. Freundlich, Langmuir and Langmuir-Freundlich parameters were fitted. The selectivity difference of D072 in terms of several sorts of metal cations was compared.(4) Exchange equilibrium curves of composite cation system under 10℃ were plotted. According to the fitted parameters of single metal cation system, the exchange performances of composite metal cation system were estimated. The accuracy of Freundlich, Langmuir and Langmuir-Freundlich equations was reviewed.(5) By using resin columns, the breakthrough curves in different conditions were plotted in order to study the dynamic exchange performance of D072 in terms of cations in hydrogen peroxide. Flow rate, ratio of height to diameter, initial ion concentration, and feed solution constitute should all be taken into account. Thus optimal process conditions were determined and hydrogen peroxide industry was provided with scientific basis.(6) Regenerative process was determined by comparing the concentration difference of Na+ in used and unused regenerant, as well as the concentration of Na+ in hydrogen peroxide out of resin columns. ...
