To design and synthesize new four kinds of long chain fatty acid-N-hydroxymethylthiazolidine -2-thione methylester compounds, they can be acted as material of Langmiur-BIodgett (LB)films . The long chain fatty acids include dodecanoic acid, tetradecanoic acid, hexadecanoic acid, octadecanoic acid . The four new-type amphiphilic ligands were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 'H NMR., UV-visible spectroscopy in different concentrations.The effects of pH, metal ions contained in subphase on the surface pressure-area ( n -A) isotherms were discussed. L can form monolayer on pure water subphase. The n -A isotherms of monolayers of L were investigated on different subphases. Acidity contained in subphases have little effect on the n -A isotherms. When metal ions such as Cu2+, Ni2+, Mn2+, Co2+ and Pb2+ ions were introduced in subphases, all the metal ions show the similar features as that on pure water subphase. All metal ions have no special strong coordination with L at the air/water interface.Because L is amphiphilic molecules that have long chains ,it can form monolayer film betterly. The CaC2O4 crastallization induced by L's monolayer film was investigated and the mechanism of CaC2O4 crastallization induced by monolayer film was discussed primarily.Because the ligands don't have characteristic of fluorescence, they can't be applied in making electroluminescent devices. We maked use of 8-aminoquinoline derivatives (H2A12, FhA16, CuA12, CuA16) which have characteristic of fluorescence to prepare electroluminescent devices. We found that this type of compounds which have characteristic of hole transportion by test can reduce the motivated voltage of electroluminescent devices. We introduce the technics of LB films.into making electroluminescent devices also, the filming effect of organic materials by LB technics is better than by oridinary technics. LB technics is helpful to innovate the preparing technics of electroluminescent devices.
