Guan chang zhu is from the rhizomes of Atractylodes japonicakoidz ex kitam of composite pants.Which is distributed mainly overnortheast China, Hebei, Neimenggu provinces.The drug has beenprescribed for the treatment of gastric ulcer, chronic gastritis and thediseases in digestive system in the frlk of korean nationality.Polaconstituents were isolate from A.japonica koidzex kitamusing solvent extraction and silica gel column chromatographyetcin this paper.The structures of three compounds were identifieAs(A). (B):Atractyienolide(III) (D):8, 9~ 1O-tnhydroxyl-2. 5,11-trioxy-dicyclo [5, 3, 1] undecyl-3-ene. by physical and chemicalconstants and spectroscopic analysis. A and D were first isolate.Zn. The 2-dialky amino ethyl benzyloky acetate hydrochlorideprepared from methye arene by brominating,condensation andby alcoholysis and passing gaseous HCI. Some of the compoundshave facilitation of learning and memory in mice.2-(?-(4-iodo phenyl methoxy)propanoic acid and itsIIderivatives(5~?O)were prepared in this paper.The structures of sixnew compounds5'?10 were ascertained by lR, NMR spectra andelementary analysis.
