With the development of the mechanization, the requirement on the property of gear oil is increasing. All the countries around the world are laying a lot of emphasis on additive package. Imported complex additives with good stability, low dosage and excellent property are also very expensive. Domestic complex additives are not developed until recent years. The demand on the complex additives is always satisfied by the imported ones. Therefore, developing complex additives with intellectual property of our own country and as good property as or better than the imported ones is meaningful.In this paper, the antioxidant property of three domestic complex additives were compared with that of two imported ones, and the difference came out. The one with the best antioxidant property was set as an aim. A lot of research was done on the influence of the base oil, viscosity index improver(VII) and other additives on the antioxidant property. Three different systems were considered on the antioxidant property of various factors. Some valuable results were obtained as follows:1. Of all the five complex additives, imported complex additives one and two possess better antioxidant property. After artificial aging test, the precipitation value of two samples are 0mL, and the viscosity increase value of the two samples are 4.38% and 4.69%, respectively. 2. The antioxidant property of base oil two is better than that of the base oil two with two synthetical base oil added in it.3. Certain amount of base oil six added in base oil two decreased the viscosity increase value, but it also decreased the viscosity of the whole system. The usage of VII increased the viscosity of the system to an appropriate level, but the viscosity increase value increased.4. Metal deactivation agents T552 and Igrmet 39 added in system of base oil two and domestic complex additive two improved the antioxidant property to a certain amount.5. Adding Detergent and dispersant agent T101 and T154,Metal deactivation agents T406 and Pour point depressant T803B to system of base oil two and domestic complex additive two, after artificial aging test, the precipitation value of the system is 0mL, and the viscosity increase value of the system is 4.16%, which is a little better than the two imported complex additives.
