In this paper,an field investigation about breeding system on the community level of evergreen broad-leaved forest was conducted,from 2007 September to 2008 December,in Anhui Guniujiang natural preserve.A total of 190 species were recorded and investigated,including flowering phenology,life-form,sexual system and flower syndrome.Pollination systems of 57 species were also documented.The main conclusions are as fllowe:(1)The flowering phenoloy of the community was bi-modal distrabution.The climax of flowering was in Apil and September;In the 190 species,70 species were herbaceous,68 species were shrub,vine species and woody species were 31 and 21; the sexual system of the community was dominated by hermaphroditic flowers (77.13%),monoecious and dioecious species were equal,account for 7.98%.Flower syndrome contained:flower color,corollar type and flower size.In the community, dish flower was the most,94 species,followed by campanulate flower,25 species; white was the dominant color,accounting for 1/3 of the species,followed by purple, yellow and green;minor flower account for 1/2 of all the recorded species;bees was the dominant pollination system,account for 28.75%,and ants also played an important role,account for 16.07%.(2)There were significant relations among life-forms,sexual systems and flower syndromes.Chi-square test indicated that sexual system and life-form were significantly associated(χ~2=64.52 P<0.001);close relation also existed between sexual system and corollar type(χ~2=55.15 P<0.001),sexual system and flower color (χ~2=68.11 P<0.001),sexual system and flower size(χ~2=25.46 P<0.005),life-form and corollar type(χ~2=86.98 P<0.001),life-form and flower color(χ~2=56.98 P<0.001), life-form and flower size(χ~2=33.36 P<0.001).(3)Pollination systems were related to sexual system and flower syndrome. Monoecious and diecious plants were mainly anemophilous,both of them accounting for more than 60%.Hermaphroditic plants with higher number of anthophilous features.Flowers of brush type account for 88.33%in anemophilous plants,and there were more flowers of the dish type in anthophilous plants.
