In order to predict pollutant's diffusion and migration, spatial position information of pollution sources and predicted points are always needed in environmental pollution prediction, but using traditional method (method does not based on GIS) to obtain these data is time-consuming and complicated, especially when the pollution sources are linear sources and surface sources, and the predicated range is a region. These problems are well solved after the emergence of GIS. A new environmental impact prediction method is putted forward in this paper. This method is based on the theory of integration and differentiation, and the linear source is divided to infinitesimal sections by specified length. The influence of linear source on sensitive points was obtained by means of superimposing the influence of every infinitesimal section on sensitive points. The distribution of concentration in predication region was obtained by interpolating all of sensitive points'data.GIS and software platform were introduced in this thesis, and then, interchange was given to illustrate the prediction of acoustical environment impact. After building the database of predicted region, relevant function of software was used in getting the 3-dimension coordinate of sensitive points and the two extremes of infinitesimal section. Then according to the requirement of model, the 3-dimension coordinate was used in writing Matlab program to calculate parameters and sound levels of sensitive points, and the function of software was used in creating the equal noise level curve and distribution of sound level in predicted region.Prediction of air environment in airport was given for analyzing the possibility of using GIS in air environment prediction, and the implementation method was putted forward. GIS is widely used in current ecological environment impact assessment. The method of using GIS in ecological environment impact assessment was introduced, and the relevant examples were analyzed in the paper.
