Much attention has been paid to photoelectronic material due to their wide spread application in energy sources, electronics, chemical industry, national defence, information field and so on. As the important compounds of photoelectronic material, metal-organic complexes M-TCNQ (metal-tetracyanoquinodimethane) and derivatives of TTF (tetrathiafulvalene) are two of the hot reasearch areas in recent years. Here we focused our research on these aspects,1. Thin films of Cu-TCNQ were prepared by the spontaneous redox reaction of copper with TCNQ in various solvents. The factors affected the morphology of Cu-TCNQ thin-film were focused on. It turned out that the physical properties and the chemical structure of the solvents played an important role in growth of the micro-crystals in Film. Rising temperature could accelerate the growth of the microcrystals in the solvents with added surfactant CTAB. In addition, the hydrophobic and electric properties of Cu-TCNQ thin films which prepared in various solvents were evaluated. The mechanism had been primarily discussed.2. Reaction of 2-[4,5-bis(methylsulfanyl)-1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene-]-4,5-bis(2-cyano-ethylsulfanyl)-1,3-dithiole (CM-TTF) with mercury chloride resulted in a charge transfer salt (CM-TTF)2Hg2Cl6. Crystal structure of the salt has been characterized, in which the neutral CM-TTF0 is oxidized to CM-TTF+ cations. Nano-crystals of this CT compound have also been prepared.
