By using the daily observational data at 64 stations at Xinjiang Province, Chinaduring 1961-2005, the features of yearly and seasonal averaged air temperature, maximum and minimum temperature, and the diurnal temperature range (DTR) areinvestigated. It is found the air temperature has obvious increasing trend, especiallyat the northwest part of Xinjiang Province. We checked the relation of airtemperature and the population in about 50 stations, no significant correlation isfound between them. It means the increasing of air temperature is the regionalimpacts of global warming in Xinjiang Province, has little relation with the humanactivity over there. In the same period, the maximum and minimum temperature also increaseddistinctly in most area of Xinjiang, result in and significant decreasing of DTR,especially in winter season. We found the decreasing DTR is mainly contributed bythe faster increase of temperature at nighttime than it at daytime. And the globalwanning effect could accelerate the decreasing of DTR over Xinjiang province.By using the daily observational data at 58 stations at Xinjiang Province, Chinaduring 1961-2005, the features of yearly precipitation, daytime and nighttimeprecipitation, we find that precipitation in Xinjiang has obvious increasing trendfrom 1961, especially after 1980's. In this paper, the region of precipitation is dividedinto 2 parts as northern Xinjiang and southern Xinjiang and the annual mean amountof precipitation change in each part is discussed, The results has showed the amountof increasing, precipitation in northern Xinjiang is larger than that in southernXinjiang, but the increasing percentage of precipitation in northern Xinjiang issmaller than that in southern Xinjiang. The precipitation has obvious increasing trendat both nighttime and daytime, the increasing amount at daytime is larger than it at nighttime in northern Xinjiang, and the case is converse in the southern Xinjiang. The precipitation increasing obviously is at the region of Yili, Wulumuqi, east ofBozhou at daytime.
