Computer simulation is a comprehensive technology, which can be used to analyze the motion state of existent systems, and evaluate their performance for the sake of optimization design. The main task of this dissertation is to study the dynamic modeling, simulation, and software implementation in multibody systems with variable topology.The remarkable feature of multibody system with variable topology is that the degree of freedom(DOF) will mutate in the course of motion. There are some limitations in dealing with dynamic simulation in system with variable topology by use of traditional dynamic simulation software. Considering the feature of this kind of multibody systems, a new conception, which is called topology-switching-condition in this article, is introduced to make the simulation software have the function that the topological structure can be automatically changed. It can continuously deal with the variable topology model, and derive the dynamical equation of arbitrary topology, and then solve it.First of all, the dissertation introduces the dynamic modeling method based on the theory of Cartesian mathematic model in the background of circuit breaker. Secondly, continuous simulation of multibody system with variable topology is realized in the simulation software according to topology-switching-condition. And then considering that there usually exists a lot of restriction among components of complicated multibody systems, put forward a kind of contact-impact model and discuss a approach of contact-impact problems including predetermined contact-impact and unpredetermined...
