As one of the most terrible disasters, seawater intrusion is getting more and more focused throughout the world. Seawater intrusion has brought a great many of problems, especially for the seaboard areas, for instance, degrading water quality, steeping soil salty, etc. It is not only because of the result of natural environment for specific location, but is also close related with people's economic society. Along with the fast growing of economy, the main factor of causing seawater intrusion is not the natural environment changes, but the ruin by people's activities to the current resources and natural balance. This paper presents the current seawater intrusion situation and factors affecting it, and systematically introduces the method, procedure, theoretical foundation, focus points of the study of seawater intrusion analysis. Also, this paper tells the criterion of how to distinguish whether it happens, how to define the interface of seawater intrusion, and the various categories of seawater intrusion; and points out human' s activities are the courses of seawater intrusion, particularly over-exploitation of the underground water, thereby making immense counter-effect, like subsiding the land surface, etc. Based on the theory of seepage flow, this paper analyses seawater intrusion by both experiment and numerical-value simulation, and mixes the two-way, presents experiential formulas for seawater intrusion in sands, provides feasibilities to predict and father seawater intrusion. The core of this paper is the experimental analysis. In order to alleviate the speed of seawater intrusion, this thesis concludes the relationships among different main factors using experimental analysis. Furthermore, this paper combines the software of SEEP/W and CTRAN/W to simulate experimental results, so as to make the study accurate and reasonable.
