In this paper,we had widely surveyed the fishes in the major fluxes and some caves around it in Maolan National Natural Reserve,and we also have surveyed and recorded the factors of its environment,totally 2000 samples of fishes were gathered by us. the results of these surveys were reported here,there are about 84 species of fish belonging to 52 genera,sixteen families and five orders in Maolan National Natural Reserve. Families of Cyprinidae are dominant,there are 49 species,occupying 58.3% of total species;Families of Cobitidae are eight species,occupying 9.52%;Families of Siluridae are four species,occupying 4.76%. There are 72 species of aboriginal fishes,seven endemic species,seven extraneous species,six economical species in these samples. The results of these surveys showed that all of this fishes in Maolan National Natural Reserve belonging to fresh water fishes of inner mainland.We also analyzed all of these fish samples,the results showed that Barbinae,Labeoninae,Bagridae and Homalopteridae etc are dominant in Maolan National Natural Reserve,all of them are warmth water fishes,they adapted the environment and diffused more widely by and by with the Tibet-plateau raised up since up-tertiary epoch;the Acheilognathinae,Cyprininae,Hypophthalmichthyinae,Gobioninae etc which were existed in Maolan showed that the fishes of Palaearctic realmin and river plain...
