Metallogenic Feature And Prospecting Of The Zinc Polymetallic Ore At Yelanggou, Wulatezhongqi, Inner Mongolia

Yelanggou zinc polymetallic deposit is located in Shihahe area ,Bayannur Wulatezhongqi, Inner Mongolia, where tectonic position lies to eastern section of Langshan-Zhaertaishan Mesoroterozoic fault zone ,in the Northern margins of the North China Platform.Recently,there is no significant breakthrough in prospecting of Langshan-Zhaertai area,except Huogeqi,Dongshenmiao,Tanyaokou and Jiashenpan these four Cu-Pb-Zn polymetallic deposit.Attached to government projects of Inner Mongolia:General investigation to Yelanggou zinc polymetallic deposit,Wulatezhongqi of Inner Mongolia,based on geological,geophysical,and geochemical exploration achievements acquired from exploratin survey of deposit,we define the metallogenic target area and discover a certain-scale zinc bodies by drilling confirmed,whose zinc and sulfur grade can up to 4.47% and 12.67% individually,and we also make some prospection around the bodies.In this paper,we describe the criteria for ore prospecting of this type deposit,and indicate the genetic type of this deposit is metamorphic stratabound volcanic-sedimentary deposit.Firstly develop and confirm the first segment of Agulugou formation is also dominant ore-hosting stratum in Langshan-Zhaertai area.The geophysical characteristics of ore-hosting stratum show gentle magnetic anomaly,and low resistance and high polarizability,whose magnetic anomaly value range from 300nT to 450nT ,apparent resistivity less than 100 ?·m,and apparentpolarizability range between 12% and 16%.Summarized the criteria for ore prospecting,we consider stratum(carbonate and argillutite of the first and second segment of Agulugou formation)as the criteria to prospect this metamorphic stratabound volcanic-sedimentary deposit in Langshan-Zhaertai area.Pb,Zn,Ag-rich oxide cap can be found on surface,simultaneously low magnetic anomaly and high As, Hg associated with Pb, Zn, Ag primary anomalies can be detected.Finally,combined geological setting ,and geophysical and geochemical anomalies characteristics of Yelanggou deposit,we make some prospections around this deposit and propose two targets.One of that lies to the north of HK-1 limonitization zone,where is the transition area of secondary basin from margin to center,may deeply exit large ore body.The other target lies to the northwest of HK-1 limonitization zone,where may be the center of seccondary basin,and largeore body is speculated to discover.
