| Online patient community is an internet platform for patients to communicate with each other.It is essentially a health information system,which can meet users’ knowledge,emotion and other needs,promote the establishment of links between enterprises and users,and provide enterprises with huge market space and commercial value.However,the current online patient community has some practical problems,such as "free ride",low user activity,low reputation and low knowledge quality.In order to solve this practical problem,promote the better development of online patient community,guide and promote good individual health knowledge and behavior is an important means.The role of social support theory in promoting physical and mental health has gradually attracted people’s attention,but its research in the field of individual health knowledge and behavior is still less.For patients,the impact of social support on their health behavior decision-making cannot be ignored.In order to deeply explore the impact of social support on individual knowledge-based behavior in online patient communities,this study divided knowledge-based behavior into health knowledge seeking and sharing,knowledge adoption and knowledge creation behavior,and defined the research questions as:①How does social support affect individual health knowledge seeking and sharing in online patient communities;②How does social support affect individual health knowledge adoption in online patient communities;③How does social support affect individual health knowledge creation in online patient communities.This study comprehensively uses case studies,structural equation models,system dynamics and other research methods,mainly uses the data generated by post bar,interview,questionnaire and structural equation model analysis,and conducts the following research work on the three research issues of how social support affects individual health knowledge seeking and sharing,adoption and creation:①Based on the use of case studies to initially clarify the dimensions of social support and individual health knowledge creation,identify the mediating factors between social support and individual health knowledge seeking and sharing,adoption,and creation,and basically determine the logical relationship between the factors,a conceptual model of the impact of social support on individual health knowledge seeking and sharing,adoption,and creation in online patient communities was constructed.②Then carry out theoretical demonstration,take stimulus-organism-response,cognitive-affective personality system and social influence as the theoretical framework respectively,take social support and other factors into consideration,and construct and verify three theoretical models of social support for individual health knowledge seeking and sharing,adoption and creation in online patient communities.③Finally,using system dynamics and introducing time dimension,under the premise of fully considering the causal feedback relationship between factors,three system dynamics models of social support for individual health knowledge seeking and sharing,adoption and creation in online patient communities are constructed and analyzed.Therefore,a series of valuable conclusions have been drawn and some theoretical contributions have been made.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)The study reveals the mechanism of social support affecting individual health knowledge seeking and sharing in online patient communities.The study found that:①social support affects individual health knowledge seeking through the mediation of survival motivation,relationship motivation and growth motivation,and affects individual health knowledge sharing through the mediation of relationship motivation and growth motivation.②The general law of the factors that affect individual health knowledge seeking(order of strength)is:relationship motivation>growth motivation>survival motivation,and the general law of the factors that affect individual health knowledge sharing is:growth motivation>relationship motivation.③The general law of the mediating effect of motivation factors between social support and health knowledge seeking is that the order of the mediating effect of intermediary variables is relationship motivation>growth motivation>survival motivation.The general law of the mediating effect of motivation factors between social support and health knowledge sharing is that the order of the mediating effect of intermediary variables is relationship motivation>growth motivation.④The key path of social support affecting individual health knowledge seeking and sharing is "social support→relationship motivation→health knowledge seeking" and "social support→relationship motivation→health knowledge sharing".At the same time,it is found that the system composed of social support,survival motivation,relationship motivation,growth motivation,individual health knowledge help and sharing is a positive feedback system.The impact of social support on individual health knowledge seeking and sharing shows an exponential growth trend,and the impact of different dimensions of social support on health knowledge seeking and sharing is information support,network support,respect support,and emotional support from strong to weak.(2)The study reveals the mechanism of social support on individual health knowledge adoption in online patient communities.The study found that:①social support affects the adoption of individual health knowledge through the intermediary role of the quality of knowledge demonstration,the credibility of knowledge sources,and positive emotion.②The general rule of the influencing factors of individual health knowledge adoption is:quality of knowledge demonstration>credibility of knowledge sources>positive emotion,rationality>sensibility.③The general rule of the mediating effect of cognitive and emotional factors between social support and health knowledge adoption is that the order of the mediating effect of the mediating variables is the quality of knowledge demonstration>the credibility of knowledge sources>positive emotion,rationality>sensibility.④The key path of social support affecting individual health knowledge adoption is"social support→quality of knowledge demonstration→health knowledge adoption".At the same time,it is found that the system composed of social support,quality of knowledge demonstration,credibility of knowledge sources,positive emotion,and individual health knowledge adoption is a positive feedback system.The impact of social support on individual health knowledge adoption shows an exponential growth trend,and the impact of different dimensions of social support on health knowledge adoption is information support,network support,respect support,and emotional support from strong to weak.(3)The study reveals the mechanism of social support on individual health knowledge creation in online patient communities.①Social support affects the creation of individual health knowledge through the mediation of creative self-efficacy and positive emotion.②The general rule of influencing factors of individual health knowledge creation is that creative self-efficacy>positive emotion.③The general rule of the mediating effect of attitude factors between social support and health knowledge creation is that the order of the mediating effect of intermediary variables is creativity self-efficacy>positive emotion.④The key path of social support afecting individual health knowledge creation is "social support→creative self-efficacy→health knowledge creation".At the same time,it is found that the system composed of social support,creative self-efficacy,positive emotion,individual health knowledge creation and other factors is a positive feedback system.The impact of social support on individual health knowledge creation shows an exponential growth trend,and the impact of different dimensions of social support on health knowledge creation is information support,network support,respect support,and emotional support from strong to weak.In addition,this study analyzed the dimensions of social support and individual health knowledge creation in online patient communities.The social support dimension in online patient community can be divided into information support,emotional support,respect support and network support.Individual health knowledge creation in online patient communities can be divided into health knowledge externalization,health knowledge combination,health knowledge socialization and health knowledge internalization.The theoretical contributions of this study are as follows:①The theoretical model that social support of online patient community affects individual health knowledge seeking and sharing is constructed and verified,and the stimulus-organism-response theory is extended and expanded.The theoretical model of the impact of social support based on online patient community on individual health knowledge seeking and sharing is constructed,and the mechanism of the impact of social support on individual health knowledge seeking and sharing is revealed.Social support,survival motivation,relationship motivation,growth motivation and other factors are incorporated into the stimulus-organism-response theoretical framework to form a theoretical model,thus extending the stimulus-organism-response theory.The stimulus-organism-response theory is extended to online patient community situations.At the same time,we found the evolution law of the influence of social support on individual health knowledge seeking and sharing in online patient communities,which is a supplement to the mechanism of the effect of social support on individual health knowledge seeking and sharing formed under the static perspective of this study.②The study constructs and verifies the theoretical model that the social support of online patient community affects the adoption of individual health knowledge,and extends and expands the theory of cognitive-affective personality system.A dual-path model of cognition and emotion that social support based on online patient community affects individual health knowledge adoption is constructed,revealing the mechanism of social support affecting individual health knowledge adoption.Taking the cognitive-affective personality system as the theoretical framework,including social support,quality of knowledge demonstration,credibility of knowledge sources,positive emotion and other factors,and forming a theoretical model,is an extension of the cognitive-affective personality system theory,and extends the cognitive-affective personality system theory to online patient community situations.At the same time,the law of the influence of social support on individual health knowledge adoption in online patient communities over time was found,which is a supplement to the mechanism of the effect of social support on individual health knowledge adoption formed in the static perspective of this study.③This study constructs and verifies the theoretical model that the social support of online patient community affects the creation of individual health knowledge,which is an extension and expansion of the theoretical framework of social impact.It has constructed and verified the theoretical model that social support based on online patient community mediated by attitude affects the creation of individual health knowledge.It is a supplement to the content of social impact theory by incorporating social support,creative self-efficacy,positive emotion and other factors into the theoretical framework of social influence,and it also extends the social impact theory to online patient community context.At the same time,we found the evolution law of the impact of social support on individual health knowledge creation in online patient communities,which complements the mechanism of the impact of social support on individual health knowledge creation formed under the static perspective of this study.In addition,it analyzed the dimensions of social support and individual health knowledge creation in online patient communities,responded to the theoretical controversy in current relevant research,and enriched the connotation of social support and individual health knowledge creation.Finally,according to the research conclusion,management enlightenment is proposed from the aspects of enhancing social support,stimulating survival motivation,improving the quality of knowledge demonstration,enhancing the reliability of knowledge sources,and making rational use of management resources according to priorities,which can help managers of online patient communities promote individual users to seek,share,adopt and create health knowledge from the perspective of social support,and help the healthy development of online patient communities. |
