Zhang Zhongjing’s "Treatise On Febrile And Miscellaneous Diseases" Wenyang Method Research

Objective: Based on the relevant content of Zhang Zhongjing’s " Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases " to identify and treat yang qi damage and yang deficiency evidence,taking the theory,method,prescription,medicine and decoction of Zhongjing warm yang method as the main line,from the four dimensions of external evil,yang qi,yang deficiency pathological products and yin blood,the theoretical accumulation,identification and treatment characteristics,the application of prescription medicine and the law of decoction are sorted out,in order to comprehensively summarize the style of Zhongjing warm yang method and provide data basis for inheriting and carrying forward Zhongjing warm yang method.Methods: Using the combination of literature analysis method,comparative research method,data analysis method and social network analysis method,relying on the collection books of Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine Library and Sichuan Provincial Library,as well as CNKI,Wanfang,Weipu and other databases as the source of references,the research was carried out in four steps.In the first step,the literature method was used to analyze the contents of the "Typhoid Theory" and "Jinxiao Strategy" involving the ideas of protecting the yang and the warm yang one by one,and the theoretical framework and identification and treatment ideas of Zhongjing Wenyang method were retrieved.The second step is to rely on the data analysis method and social network analysis method to analyze and study the extracted data related to Zhongjing Wenyang formula,as well as the relationship between formula-disease and formula-disease social network,and explore the idea behind Zhongjing Wenyang method to formulate prescriptions and dosage forms.The third step is to summarize the compatibility law of Zhongjing Wenyang core drugs from the perspectives of treatment classification and disease location classification,and understand the applicable treatment method and disease position needs of Zhongjing’s core drugs.In the fourth step,the data analysis method and natural breakpoint method were used to compare and study the decoction time,frying amount,number of medications,and amount per serving in the Zhongjing warm yang decoction method,so as to understand the meaning of the decoction method affecting the curative effect of Zhongjing warm yang formula.Results: Through the combination of literature analysis,comparative research,data analysis and social network analysis,this paper studies the Zhongjing warm yang method from four aspects,including the idea of "protecting yang-warm yang",formulating medicines,core drug matching rules,and decoction method,and proposes:1.Zhongjing has built a theoretical system of "protecting the yang-warm yang",using the method of temperature dispersion and warming for the invasion of external evil and internal evil and internal evil as the main method of dispelling evil,and treating yang and innocence with the method of acceptance,supporting yang and warming up.Cure evil attacks and health qi damage,evil depression phlegm drinking and gathering lungs,evil attack and insufficient yang often dispel evil and support the right and protect the yang,the use of medicine is to clean and dispel external evil as the key,supplemented by warm health,Xuan lung expectorant drink,highlighting the application of warm dispersion.The endogenous treatment of evil qi is mainly to dispel cold,light seepage,phlegm,eliminate stasis,and promote qi,highlighting the application of temperature and circulation.The purpose of warm photography is to restore the fixed effect of yang qi,to consolidate the secret yang qi,and to solidify the essence blood.The treatment of Shangzhen submerged yang,hemostatic and astringent essence is the standard,and the warm yang cures the root cause,highlighting the use of heavy and astringent drugs.Fuyang for Yang Qi Violent Injury highlights the use of Xinwen drugs,mainly to supplement the loss of Yang Qi,there are Xingan Huayang,there are Xin Gang Huayang,there are Xin Heat Drugs to break Yin and return to Yang,which is the most rapid stage of Yang Qi loss.Warm supplement is acid and glycine medicine as the main combination of xinwen medicine and yin in the yang,used for long-term illness yang damage and yin,highlighting the sweet medicine to supplement yin and yang,yin and yang together.2.The prescription and medication rules of Zhongjing Wenyang Method: Wen Li medicine,qi medicine,Yin blood tonifying medicine,water wetting medicine and anti-table medicine are the basic drugs of Zhongjing Wenyang Method,which reflects Zhongjing’s emphasis on Fuyang,warm supplement,warm tong,and warm dispersion.Although the use of blood circulation and stasis removal drugs is small,it shows that Zhongjing Wenyang method is also involved in the treatment of blood stasis,which shows the diversity of its treatment methods.Similarly,the medicine pairs and drug groups of Zhongjing Wenyang Formula are mainly set up around the main treatment methods of Zhongjing Wenyang Method,such as Wen San,Wen Tong,Fuyang,and Wen Supplement,and also take into account the treatment methods such as Wen Qian,which highlights that Zhongjing Wenyang Method is both focused and comprehensive.The pattern of formula-disease relationship network shows that Sizhuan decoction and guizhi decoction,as the main formulas for protecting yang and warm yang,respectively,have a high degree of centrality,which shows that Zhongjing attaches equal importance to protecting yang and warm yang.The association of multiple prescriptions with the same symptom shows the essence of its differentiation,and the research on the cause of symptoms is very comprehensive.The formuladisease position relationship network diagram shows that Zhongjing is good at identifying the initial symptoms of the disease,and once the symptoms are seen,it is administered early,often preventing the disease before it occurs,and treating it first.In addition,Zhongjing described 18 kinds of symptom sites,which shows that his identification of symptomatic lesions is balanced from top to bottom,both inside and outside,and his observation is meticulous.3.The Zhongjing Thermoyang Method highlights the use of aconite,dried ginger,and laurel branches.In the warm scattering method,there are cannon aconite with laurel branch,cannon aconite with ephedra,dried ginger,fine spices,schisandra with ephedra,etc.;In the Wentong method,there are cannon aconite with chai hu and citrus,guizhi with citrus,cannon aconite,dried ginger with Shu pepper,cannon aconite with rhubarb,cannon aconite with coix kernel,cannon aconite with poria,dried ginger with poria,laurel branch with poria,etc.;In matches;Wen Kidney Yang has raw aconite with dried ginger,cannon aconite with dry ground yellow and dogwood,cannon aconite with white art,poria and so on;Wen stomach yang has laurel branch,ginger with citrus fruit,laurel branch,ginger with poria and other matches;Wen Chest Yang has cannon aconite with laurel branch,aconite with coix kernel,laurel branch with Xue Bai and other matches;The warm intestine has aconite with coix kernel,defeated sauce,aconite with rhubarb,etc.4.Zhongjing’s setting of decoction time,frying amount,number of medications,and each dosage is the continuation of the dialectical treatment and the corresponding evidence,which is a necessary condition for the curative effect of the warm yang formula.Dialectical frying and dialectical application allow the warm yang effect to be fully realized,rather than only as an ancillary condition for synergy as previously thought.Conclusion: Zhongjing constructed an organic theoretical system of "protecting the yang-warming yang" for the Wenyang method,which runs through the whole process of Zhongjing’s dialectical treatment.It is explained from many aspects such as disease identification,prescription drug screening,dose matching,preparation,decoction,etc.,all of which reflect the idea of Zhongjing Wenyang Method.With warm yang as the guideline,the purpose of solving the table,promoting the lungs,dispelling cold,dissolving phlegm,seeping benefits,invigorating qi,and nourishing yin and blood,a complete academic system has been formed.The methods of Fuyang,Wen Fu,and Wen Qian in the Zhongjing Wenyang Method were respected by later generations,and developed into an independent school,enriching the theoretical system of the Zhongjing Wenyang Method.
